It even featured a little satellite for the shuttle to do something after it launched. While it can’t compare to some of the modern designs, it fit perfectly in with the aesthetics of 90s sets. I also love the design of the shuttle itself.

On top of the features, the sheer size of the set really made it stand out of the shelf. I remember playing with this set countless times going through the steps of assembling the shuttle. They even included little locks so the sled stays in place. The crane, the cradle for the booster assembly, and the sled to hold the shuttle were all very well designed to work together. This set was packed with play features – the entire thing was built around assembling the shuttle for launch. This was the crown jewel of my Town sets and the overall largest set from my childhood collection. I recently rebuilt my childhood Lego sets and am sharing photos of each before packing them back away.
